History according to Bill
Posted 13 weeks 6 days ago byBubba got it right last night when he described the reality of recent republican history. Republicans had be whining for a long time about how well things would go if only they could have complete control in order to implement all their right wing ideas. Well they got it and were able to change things around just like they always wanted. And that is when this country began to fail. From the economy to the strength of our military and now even our national security, Our nation is now in the worst shape it has ever been in.
Be careful what you ask for because you just might get it. And it may not turn out the way you might have expected. It may end up being only what you thought you wanted. Getting everything they ever wanted hasn't turned out so good for the redumblican party. It may just have been the beginning of their end.

Why 9/11?
Submitted on August 29th, 2008 by rom12921I don't know why they picked that day. I would assume a new Presidency would have something to do with it, but just speculating.
You know, President Clinton nearly always insults my intelligence when giving a speech. IMO he's always giving me spin or a falsehood then wanting me to accept something is true that I know is not. Played the race card on me, worst economy in last 50 years, never fed a hungry child. It's so stupid.
In debates, he would make a false or irrelevent claim, then want the opponent to defend a straw-man claim.
Planned
Submitted on August 29th, 2008 by kevinkindThe fact that it was planned before Bush took office does not release him from the responsibility of protecting us as Commander and Chief by allowing the plans to go forth.
Who's to say that Bush's candidacy for President wasn't what set the terrorist off on the planning of the attack? And might be the reason they waited nine months to carry it out so that the time frame would fall squarely on Bush's watch.
Thwart Bubba
Submitted on August 29th, 2008 by rom12921IMO the Republicans controlled spending and government expansion to thwart Pres Clinton. To turn the tables on them, everything they accomplished, he claimed credit for.
That's the only reason I can think of for the great job 94-00 & losing their minds 00-06. Typical politics. Make sense?
9/11 was planned long before jan 2001- inauguration.
While you are entitled to your opinion, Economic data does not support your claims on the economy.
Bush's watch
Submitted on August 29th, 2008 by kevinkind(9-11) happened on Bush's watch nine months after he took office and after he had been specifically warned that it might. Instead of paying attention to the warnings he was personally given, he spent his first nine months concerned with a renewed interest of a space based weapons initiative.
And if the republican congress were really responsible for the prosperity of the nineties, than why didn't it continue after the Dems left office.
The way that Bush and his republican lead congress responded to nine eleven is the very reason why our economy and military are in the shape that they are in.
The wasted national wealth, and time that has been spent in Iraq has given the terrorist a lot of wasted time to plan their next attack, which may again happen on Bush's watch. If it does, Bush will have no one to blame it on but himself.
Mr.Kevinkind
Submitted on August 29th, 2008 by AnonymousYou must be too young to remember the Carter years or the years before that LBJ, the country has been in a lot worst shape then it is in now and can be a lot worst then it is.
Bush only had a Republican Congress in his first four years things did not start going south for him until his second term, which was a Democratic congress.
So correct me if I am wrong the President can't really do much of anything without the blessings of congress is this not way it works, therefore as I have said, correct me if I am wrong.
Which brings me to my point, if Bush's plans were so, bad then why did the Democratic congress follow him should they have not said hold the phone here Mr. President we will not give you an ok here?
Think, not feel
Submitted on August 29th, 2008 by rom12921"Bubba knew how to run a government, reduce the national debt, create a prosperous economy," No. The accomplishments he calims were Republican Congress accomplishments. That's why he spent Wednesday night legacy building with a pack of lies instead of giving a reason to vote for Obama.
"...not to be foolish enough to primitively invade other countries under false pretence." He bombed countries under false pretenses from afar instead, cut military budgets and refused Osama Bin Laden as a terrorist captive; possibly leading to 9/11 -too much fun.
The last straw
Submitted on August 28th, 2008 by kevinkindEvery power has it's breaking point. Our last straw may be on a crash course with the off shore oil rigs in our own gulf and if it hits you will see just how bad things can get.
Drill, Drill, Drill, all you want, but you better wise up and do it on land. Hurricanes show no mercy.
Bubba knew
Submitted on August 28th, 2008 by kevinkindBubba knew how to run a government, reduce the national debt, create a prosperous economy, and how not to be foolish enough to primitively invade other countries under false pretence.
I admit Bubba did like to have a little too much fun but at least the bad decisions he made didn't destroy the lives of countless millions. Unless you think his actions created the base that brought Bush to power. Which is how I feel about it and why I will not spend too much time defending him.
Barack will get things back in their proper order, and we will all live happily ever after.
"Bubba" was convicted of perjury.
Submitted on August 28th, 2008 by rom12921so why take what he says at face value? Grain of salt
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/27/b...
kevink, you do have a point about the Republican control of House, Senate and Presidency. If drilling was so important, why not address it when they had the votes? Why not make tax cuts permanent instead of compromising with Dems?
Our country is great shape. Economy -GDP #'s have been revised upward in Q2 over 3%;so much for a recession. Our military is the best trained, best equipped in the world.

"Our nation is now in the worst shape worst shape it has ever been in."
As compared to...? the Great Depression, WWII (1941), the Civil War.While you are entitled to your opinion, I think there are some other contenders.
Personally prefer positioning myself far from the pathetic predictable poison partisan propaganda
