I asked Paul Madison to send me his political assessment of concerning the current problems and political climate.

To tell you the truth, I wish he was the one I could vote for!

Here is what he had to say:

The issue of president is to represent the people of the US to the world and be the conscience of the legislative branch which looks out for the interest of the little people. Not special interest or some huge multinational corporation.

No the President has to set policies which are designed for the average person. All policies and laws have to be designed so that it has the best interest of the people first. Because if you put people first, then the people become better off. The people will see a better economy and see a rise in jobs which are not just any jobs, but high paying core jobs which has always made America strong.

As I have watched the debate rage over the choices of who will be president, it has made me sick and it has made me disappointed in the American political system. Because the President should not be choosing people around him in the most important positions that are politically expedient but people who would help the people of this land to succeed in achieving the American Dream.

If I was president, I would not be look for some politician who has spent years in Washington with some party. No, I would not choose a person who has abused the American people by sitting on some committee for years half asleep in endless mindless prattle which does not help the average person on Main Street USA.

It is not that I would have all the answers all the time because simply no one has all the answers. Not any of the past presidents or any past or present politicians nor any future ones will have all the answers. That is why our great founding Fathers gave us the Presidential cabinet of advisors. They are to provide the expert advise to make the right choice not for some political party but for the people of the this great country. That is the major flaw and problem with the current problems in Washington and why all the current politicians are so lacking in their responsibilities to the American people. They have lost their way! They lost their way because we the people refused to choose better more bright and higher quality people to serve in our government. We the people have failed in our responsibility to put the right people in office.

What is required of the President is to surround himself with the best people for the job in the US for the different positions which make up the government. Not who is the best from some party. Honestly, the Vice President has to have as much of the same convictions as the president or you have conflicts and problems. Where you have a VP and President who are engaging in two different policies and there is a divide in what should be priorities. This has happened in America all to often and has been the case in the last 12 administrations.

What is needed for example, in a Secretary of State, is a person who has been a Diplomat. Not just any Diplomat but a successful Diplomat. Someone who has experience in dealing with foreign governments and protocols. Its one of the reasons why America has lost respect because we have popularity contests for cabinet positions or those positions are reserved for some party member who has spent years in the party and demands the right to have the position because they have spent time working in the party as an insider.

No the Cabinet positions should be selected from the best and the brightest of this country in their given field. You take successful businessmen to look after the economy and IRS. You get well experienced Veteran to be secretary of Defense who understands the roll. You do not take some general off the field and suddenly say your Secretary of Defense. No that is not responsible and the last 3 administrations have more than pointed this out.  No you need someone who has left the military and who has served in a capacity while in the military in a roll with the Government. Something rare and not seen in this position. It is not responsible to appoint a life long politician to this position which does not understand military matters first hand and does not understand warfare. The current administration has shown why this is not responsible and leads to dangerous and horrid oversight of the military.

Simply you have to put the best no matter the party at the proper positions in government to make the US viable, strong and take America to the next level. Because America is a work in progress. We have yet to achieve perfection in both government and within our society.

It is time that we stop chasing after things that do not work and voting in one worthless politician from one party for another worthless politician from the opposing party. We so desperately need quality leadership with a person who has a strong moral conviction for the things which makes America great. A person who stands up for the people over the interest of power brokers and lobbyist who for the most part are representing foreign interest or interests that are incredibly horrible for the average citizen. We have to stop here in America from saying being rich is bad.

Rich people will always be rich no matter the climate or the conditions that are happening. The issue is not how much a rich person makes or has. The issue is how much the average people are making. Because if the average people are doing well, everyone is doing well.

Do not get me wrong, the poor also have to be looked after. We just need to make sure that the law do not impose an unfair burden upon the poor. The poor will succeed and climb out of their situation if they are given the right climate and the right tools so that they can partake in the American Dream.

We do not have to bankrupt the country with unnecessary entitlements. All we have to do is ensure that the American people have a fair tax system which does not take too much of their money. Protect the current support system by forcing the government to replace and keep hands off of people’s social security. But the government should provide tax breaks and other benefits for people to invest and create savings to increase personal wealth.

To that end, America has to get off of foreign oil. It can be done in as little as 5 years. Natural Gas, solar, coal to oil technology and wind power have to given a green light. Its time that America take the handcuffs off the oil industry and allow them to build the extra refineries or lose their rights to produce oil. We have to allow for more drilling to take the place on the short haul oil we get elsewhere until the more green technology can come online over the next 10 years. America simply has bite the bullet sometime. We might as well start now rather than wait until it becomes so crippling that it may be too much to overcome and cause a repeat of the great depression of times past.

The only way that the American economy can get back to greatness of the likes we have seen before and want we have to deal with hard issues. We have to look at how foreign trade is effecting the American people. We have to look at how the laws and regulations are helping or hurting our American businesses. It is time that America get proactive about American business interest. We can no longer accept the status quo. Countries like China sent cheap trash that they know is laced with poisons or are unsafe but do not care. They laugh because they think that we in America will not do anything about it. Its not just China. We have these same issues coming from Mexico, Canada, the EU and southeast Asia. We have to start demanding that all products sold in America has the proper standard. If it does not have the high standard we demand, then disallow those product to be sold. America has the largest economy on the planet. America purchases roughly 70% of all the goods sold world wide that is sent out on the world market. For this reason, make the factories and businesses in China or where ever pay for an inspection fee. This fee would be done to hire American citizens to inspect all goods sent into the US. In some cases the inspection is done twice. Before it is shipped to the US and after it arrives in the US. This is to prevent poisons being put into products which will harm or kill our children by rogue countries or by countries who have no respect for human life like China. Do not get me wrong, we can have trade with China. But, we can demand verification and demand higher accountability from China and those businesses which choose to operate in that inhuman climate to be responsible rather than pocket massive profits from cheap labor and unsafe materials.

Its time for reformation in America where the shift in power goes from the mega corporations to the people. Mega corporations interests rarely are beneficial to the people and as history has shown it more times than not goes against the interest of the US as a whole.  Not only that but mega corporations are more often that not have international interest at heart over those of the American people.

America needs Insurance reform to stop the rise in healthcare. Insurance actions represent 45% of the main problems with the rise in the cost of healthcare. The other is illegal aliens who represent the vast majority of problems in the rise in healthcare because the use up services and never pay for them.

It is time that the borders get secured and that the citizens of the great nation are not being dispossessed, stolen from or abused by illegal immigration. America has no problems in welcoming in immigrants. We just need to make sure that they come in properly for the safety and security of this nation. We do not need criminals who mule drugs in. We do not need terrorist passing across our borders unchecked and unmonitored. We do not have to spend out of this world money. The border security of this nation has historically been the responsibility of both local law enforcement, State level law enforcement and yes the federal level of law enforcement. However, the US military also has a role not only since the beginning of this great country but continues to have that roll today. The difference has been a reduction in the military’s roll in securing the border. We have plenty of active duty military personnel located in the US who by some quirk or lack of reasoning has not been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan or other hot spots.

It is time that active duty military earn their keep and do their duty to protect this great nation and secure the US border. The military construction battalions can build proper walls, and other border security structures on both the north and south borders. Its time America got serious about a problem that effects not only the economy but healthcare, national security and health risks of mega epidemics that can happen at anytime.

We need responsible leadership, not empty suits or people with decades of political pandering.

We need someone who will make sure Americans can sleep at night knowing that they are safe and secure from Terrorism, War or other International problems.

We need someone who will stand up for the little guy. Someone who is for the people. Far too long has this nation suffered under political parties whose only purpose is to generate money and power for themselves and for those who support them while ignoring the people who need them the most.

We have to reestablish the core values of this nation. We can no longer afford to have special interest get in the way of progress and promote harm to the people on Main Street USA.

We need new blood which denounces the politics of the Party system of the Democrats and Republicans. We need a breath of fresh air because the Democrats and Republicans or any other party for that matter have suffocated the America Dream for far too long.

We simply need the people of America to vote!  A vote for the betterment of the Nation not vote because it will give more power to worthless politicians of some party to inflict more harm on the citizens of this country. We need change. We need hope. But the most important thing is that we have to elect the best people regardless of party to the job. If you elect a moron to a leadership position then you will get bad government and moronic decisions on things that matter and you get nothing that helps the people!

Its time for America people to stand up and be counted. Its time that the American people rally around family, hometown, apple pie and the values which keeps this great nation the greatest in the world.

Let us pray that there will be such a person to be allowed to rise to that position that can make these things happen.
